So, naturally, I fire up the local Craigslist and search for “4x4” in metro Detroit and surrounding areas, and found !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! bitchin beater. My SO says it’s a terrible idea, but what does he know??

The most important thing to note is that if you own a Bronco with flames and a Camaro, you must also move into a trailer and buy about 20 guns.

Without a doubt.

Not all that bad of an idea, so long as the fender cancer hasn’t metastasized to the frame.
Also, the E4OD transmissions can be a bit suspect at times with this gen F-Series and Broncos.

I am 110% behind the idea of a beater Bronco.
302 and 351 can be modified to whatever level you can imagine and removal rear roof for all the offroad summer adventures.
That being said, I think we can find you a better one on CL around here than that one. The rust being the biggest concern.

Yes.
Also, you have waaaaay better hair than Guy Fieri. Just sayin’. :)

I don’t see any flaws with this plan.

Depends on if you buy 20 KelTecs or 20 Single Action Armys.

A mix is fine. Some old-fashioned over-under 20GAs, a couple S&Ws, maybe a Charter Arms for variety, a Mossie with a slug barrel, etc. etc.

I think this one would be worth every extra penny.

You missed a Henry lever action in either .44 or .357 Magnum. For shame, my dear fellow...

Trapdoor Springfield, Marlin .444, Stoner 63, StuG...

Ooooh. I’ll actually have to take a look at that :) hoping I can unload the XJ for $1500 while it’s still running

Mr. Hog has a few, pretty sure it’s less than 20 though. And can’t move into a trailer until the lease is up.

Looks a little rough for that price being a Michigan truck. Go down south if you want a cheap rust free vehicle. Plenty of them. I bought a cheap truck of CL in Kalamazoo and it was good but had too much rust. Also the 351 is a great engine for a truck. Easily can make power and pretty reliable too

.75 caliber Kentucky rifle, PGM .338 (for extra Frenchness), Ma Deuce, H&K 416, Dan Wesson 1911, Bren-Ten (Because who doesn’t love the 80s)

Yea, I’m not seriously considering this one. Definitely rough. And I should start looking further south, I have some time until the Camaro needs to be garaged.

If the trans is a worry using the E40D which is common in these, you can always swap a 302/351 back to a carb and slap a C6 auto trans on it. Though this one says it’s a pretty fresh trans in it. Bonus points for Aux Lights on the roof of this one too lol.
I personally lost a lot of faith in Ford Transmissions once they stopped being a C and a # (C4 and C6) I have a C4 in the Montego and the C6’s were used on big blocks typically.
My dad even had a C4 in his Torino Drag Car which was running 11’s.

It doesn’t matter how many you already have, you need 20 more.

Lever-action rifles are hands down the most fun gun to shoot, IMO. Even more so than any assault rifle I’ve owned.

Wasn’t a Bronco, but I’m still pissed at one of my friends for not telling me he was selling his ‘95 F-150 4WD for $300. It was beaten to hell, but ran and drove. It would have been a fun thing to drive in to stuff. Or a great donor vehicle for the 4Runner... 3800lbs way up high + built 302 = tons of fun.
You can barely tell from this picture, but this door actually turned the truck around a pole when it decided to go for a drive by itself. It saved it from going onto a 4-lane, but sent it into a building.

Does this work in the converse situation? If I own >20 guns, should I sell my car and Mrs. Snuze’s Lexus for a Camaro and Bronco and we move out of our apartment and into a trailer?

DAT EDDIE BAUER EDITION!

You also need 2-3 homemade AR’s - one that don’t work because something something gas port, one that you spray painted it camo, with actual Home Depot spray paint, not fancy Gunkote, and possibly a 3rd with every chinese knockoff tacticool accessory you can find. You also need several Mosin Nagants which you always leave the bayonets on because that’s how they were sighted in at the armory, dammit, and your grandpappy’s 30-30 lever action which has some ridiculous story attached to it about how he shot a deer 4 times and it didn’t die so he “clubbed the sumbitch to death with it”, and your paw’s Marlin 22.
![]() 05/12/2015 at 11:04 |

But of course. You don’t need to sell your existing cars though, the more cars on your property the better. Especially if most of them just sit there and gather dust.
![]() 05/12/2015 at 11:06 |

Good point. The only thing that worries me is our cars are too nice for that, especially my Snuze. Which means I could probably get a Bronco AND a Camaro in trade. And then I think I’ll make the Lexus my “shootin’ car” for target practice with my >20 guns.

If you’re only “pretty sure” that means he’s doing a good job of hiding all 47 of them from you.

Sorry, I have a thing about flames. They look childish to me.
